The inner bark of the white oak tree is known for its astringent effects and used mainly for excessive bleeding with menses or blood in urine and stool. White oak bark also promotes tissue repair in wounds, sores, ulcers of the mouth, bladder , intestines and rashes of the skin.

Not to be used during pregnancy.

Astringent, aperient, diuretic.
