Powdered yellow mustard seeds are the basis of homemade mustard sauces, and have a variety of uses in spice blends, grilling, and adding flavor to soups, gumbo, and stews. Mix with water and a little vinegar to make your own table mustard, maybe with a little honey to taste. Mix with water to activate the flavorful enzyme, then add to homemade salad dressing as an emulsifier. It will keep the oil and vinegar from separating for up to ten minutes.
