Origin: Bulgaria

Has been used for colds and flus by promoting sweating which reduces fevers, relieves coughing. Also can be used to promote urination and resolves edema, and also desolves kidney stones. Promotes menstruation and labor also promotes lactation. Blue vervain is also useful in opening obstructions associated with liver congestion and painful menses. It is also excellent when used externally as a poultice for skin disorders and as a rinse for mouth ulcers.

Not to be used during the first and second trimester.

Emmenagogue, emetic, diuretic
