Also known as Seawrack, Bladderwrack is found on the coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It was the original source of sea vegetable based iodine when it was discovered in 1811. Primary chemical constituents of this plant include mucilage, mannitol, beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, iodine, bromine, potassium and many other minerals.
