The Slippery Elm powder can be used for various digestive disorders. When mixed with warm water to form a paste and ingested has been known to relieve mild to severe acid reflux and intestinal ulcers. Externally can be used to soften skin and ease the discomforts of minor burns and scrapes.
Ulmus fulva and Ulmus rubra are taxonomically the same species. There is no difference in the trees or the uses of the bark other than their taxonomic name.
