Oolong and Black Teas

This delightfully spicy black tea is a standard in Seattle,and a favorite in San Francisco and a must here in Kansas City during the Holiday season. Market Spice is loaded with essential oils of: orange, cloves, cinnamon and much more.

A smoky tea fermented to perfection somewhere between a black and green tea. Good for digestion. It has a taste more akin to green tea than to black tea: it lacks the rosy, sweet aroma of black tea but it does not have the stridently grassy vegetal notes that typify green tea.

The flavor is this rich black tea is reminiscent of a ripe, juicy peach at the height of summertime. It’s wonderful iced and for a special treat try a Peach Dream Boat: top off a tall glass of cold peach tea with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Also known as “Wuyi Qi Lan,” this tea hails from the birthplace of oolong teas, the Fujian Province of China. Said to convey the essence of honeysuckle with notes of raisins and caramel, Profound Orchid oolong has a smooth flavor making it an excellent iced tea or after dinner drink.

This lightly oxidized Chinese Oolong comes from the Fujian Province (Wuyi Mountains), in China. Se Chung has persisted through the decades and has become one of the most predominate oolongs in China- noted for its superb flavor and affordable price.

This Vintage (2009) award winning Pu-erh pressed tea cake is made out of Certified Organic Fair Trade Yunnan Pu-Erh tea leaves. This wonderful tea is very mellow and smooth with a pleasantly sweet earthy flavor. Gently use a knife to pry the tea leaves out of the cake. This tea can be infused up to 4 times. In fact it is encouraged .

It retains its flavor through several infusions very well, with each piece making approximately 16 ounces of hot tea.

The protective wrapper should be removed from each piece before brewing
